Some events you attend. Others you can’t stop thinking about. Thursday night was the second kind. In fact, it reframed how we think about Denver senior care.<\/p>\n

Our leadership team headed to the\u00a0Elaine Wolf Theatre<\/a>\u00a0for the 2nd Annual Raising the Roof with Laughter.\u00a0Aging at 5280<\/a>\u00a0hosted the evening.\u00a0Touching Hearts at Home<\/a>\u00a0was proud to sponsor. Even so, the sponsorship wasn’t the best part. Being in that room was.<\/p>\n

A room full of laughter<\/h2>\n

First, the comedy.\u00a0Nancy Norton<\/a>\u00a0headlined, and she delivered. Meanwhile, a theatre full of senior care professionals laughed until they cried.<\/p>\n

These are people who spend their days in hard conversations with families. So a night like this matters more than it sounds. We needed it. Honestly, we all did.<\/p>\n

The story that stayed with us<\/h2>\n

But the highlight wasn’t a punchline. Instead, it was Jeremy talking about a book.<\/p>\n

The Argyle’s<\/a>\u00a0team read\u00a0Unreasonable Hospitality<\/em><\/a>\u00a0together. The idea is simple. You don’t just meet expectations. Rather, you go far beyond them, in ways people never forget.<\/p>\n

Most teams read a book like that and move on. The Argyle didn’t. Instead, they built The Argyle’s Legacy Journey.<\/p>\n

The program gives older adults a chance at global adventures of a lifetime. In other words, the trips many of them assumed were behind them. Imagine being 85 and hearing that the door is still open.<\/p>\n

That’s not just a program. It’s a philosophy about what later life can look like.<\/p>\n
