When she returned home for end-of-life care, Phoenix sat by her bedside, holding her hand for hours.

“As we sat coloring and assembling our globes, we listened to a Christmas album. Her entire demeanor changed. By the end, she was glowing, her anxiety had softened, and she hung her snow globe with pride. Before I left, she hugged me and told me over and over how much that day had meant to her.”
