As we begin the new year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the beautiful moments and milestones that made December so special for our Touching Hearts at Home family. December was a month full of warmth, connection, and meaningful moments that we’ll cherish as we move forward into 2025.

Introducing Our New Death Doula Services 

We are proud to have launched our Death Doula Services in December, provided by our certified Death Doula, Marie Stanfill, who is certified by the International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA). This new service is designed to help individuals and families navigate the end-of-life journey with dignity, compassion, and care.

A Death Doula is a non-medical professional who provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to families during this sacred time. Whether it’s providing guidance through the end-of-life planning process, offering emotional support, or simply being a calming presence, our Death Doula ensures that families are supported every step of the way.

 How We Can Help:

• Emotional and spiritual guidance for individuals and families during this time
• Assistance with end-of-life planning and legacy projects to celebrate a life well-lived
• Creating a peaceful, comforting environment for the final transition
• Grief support and a safe space for loved ones to heal

We understand that death is a part of the life cycle, and our mission is to ensure that families never have to face this journey alone. Marie’s compassion and expertise are here to bring peace and comfort when it’s needed most.

Announcing Our New Scheduling Coordinator…

Please join us in welcoming Alicia Wallace to our support team! Alicia brings many years of experience in home care and hospice, and we are thrilled to have her on board. She will be taking over the scheduling coordinator role from Ashley, who is now focusing fully on our Champion course training and Client Engagement.

Alicia is a proud “Kentucky girl” and has a passion for making a difference in people’s lives, one person at a time. Her favorite quote is, “Change doesn’t make you like yourself, but liking yourself will make you change.” We are confident Alicia’s expertise and compassionate nature will make her a perfect fit for our team!

Announcing Our New Care Specialist…

We’re also excited to welcome Samantha Turner to our team as a Care Specialist! Samantha comes to us with 20 years of experience in hospice, community care, independent living, and program management. She will be working closely with Sam Estrada to provide the best care possible for our clients.

Samantha embodies a perfect blend of compassion, skill, and dedication, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her as part of our team. Her core value is Humility, and she enjoys taking care of people both in her professional role and at home. We know she will be a tremendous asset to our team and the families we serve.

The past year has been filled with special moments, and I feel privileged to have witnessed the connections made and the lives touched by our services.
