Touching Hearts at Home of Dayton\/Springfield is locally owned and operated, combining the experience of owner Kelly George with the resources of a national home care company that has been providing non-medical companionship, caregiving, and homemaking services to seniors, adults with disabilities, and families battling illness since 2006.<\/p>\n

Touching Hearts at Home of Dayton\/Springfield is also proud to be leading the way in how we approach dementia care education as a Teepa Snow Positive Approach to Care\u00ae (PAC) Designated Organization in all of Ohio. Our organization has taken steps to change the culture of dementia care that we offer. In accordance with the guidelines for Organization Designation provided by Positive Approach to Care\u00ae we are growing our team of PAC Certified Independent Professionals to guide learning and skills. In addition to our team of PAC Certified Independent Professionals, our team holds additional professional certifications of Care Manager (CCM\u00ae & CMC), Certified Dementia Practitioner\u00ae, Certified Senior Advisor\u00ae, and Aging Life Care Professional\u00ae.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Kelly George, Owner of Touching Hearts at Home<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n\n

Kelly grew up in Oakwood and Kettering, graduated from Fairmont High School, and later, Wright State University. She holds a BA degree in Sociology and spent her early career in business management, including ten years in retail branch management at Bank One in Dayton and PNC Bank in Centerville and Cincinnati. Before choosing to dedicate her career to enhancing the lives of older adults, Kelly’s focus was on volunteering in her children’s school, serving on the PTO Executive Board at Stingley Elementary, and working as a tutor for children attending Dayton Public Schools.<\/p>\n

The passion Kelly holds for helping families and individuals remain in the home of their choice and age with dignity grew from personal experience with family members trying to navigate through the challenges of aging and the additional complexities that come with dementia, Parkinson\u2019s Disease, and Alzheimer\u2019s Disease. She spent many years as a volunteer with The Alzheimer\u2019s Association of the Miami Valley, Montgomery County\u2019s C.A.A.N.E. (Collaboration Against Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation) multi-disciplinary team, and the Centerville Noon Optimist Club. Kelly is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner\u00ae, Certified Senior Advisor\u00ae, Certified Case Manager (CCM\u00ae), and Aging Life Care Professional\u00ae.<\/p>\n

Kelly currently lives in Washington Township with her husband Mike. While she is still involved in the daily operations of the business, Kelly enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with their four adult children living in Dayton\u00a0and Cleveland. Kelly feels privileged to serve families in Montgomery County, Greene County, and Clark County with her dedicated and talented team.<\/p>\n

Elora Wilkins, Executive Director<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n\n

Elora became a valued member of Touching Hearts at Home in 2018 and joined the leadership team in 2023. Also with roots in our community, she graduated from Centerville High School before earning her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology, with a minor in Disability Studies, from Miami University.<\/p>\n

In the years before stepping into her role as Executive Director, Elora played a key role in expanding our care team, recruiting top talent, and fostering the professional growth of our caregivers. Her passion for our mission is evident in everything she does, and her enthusiasm inspires both our team and the families we serve.<\/p>\n

Meredith Lehmann, Director of Client Care<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n\n
Meredith joined the Touching Hearts at Home Support Team in 2020 after earning her Master\u2019s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Gerontology. For her Master\u2019s project, she developed a curriculum to support families navigating the challenges of caring for a loved one after a stroke\u2014unaware that this work would lead her to a deeply fulfilling career, guiding families through life-changing events.<\/div>\n
\n

With a natural talent for dementia care, Meredith became a certified\u00a0<\/span>Positive Approach to Care<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>Coach and earned her\u00a0<\/span>Care Manager Certified (CMC)<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>credential through the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. She finds great joy in building relationships with clients, offering support through both challenges and small victories.<\/p>\n

Outside of work, Meredith cherishes quality time with friends and family, enjoys tackling puzzles, and loves playing card and board games.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Cierra Jefferson, Care Specialist<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n\n

Cierra brings a strong background in healthcare, leadership, and advocacy to her role as Care Specialist at Touching Hearts at Home. Her career began as a pharmacy technician, where she discovered her passion for working with people and providing meaningful support.<\/p>\n

She has held leadership roles with the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities and later served as an Office Manager for a home health agency supporting both disability and elderly care services. Cierra holds a degree in Business Applied Technology with a focus on Medical Office Administration and is certified in Advanced Billing and Coding.<\/p>\n

A proud mother of four, Cierra values compassion, commitment, and teamwork. She is honored to be part of the Touching Hearts at Home team and is dedicated to supporting others with integrity and care.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Jody Huenke, Care Specialist<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n\n

Jody Huenke is a compassionate Care Specialist at Touching Hearts at Home, where she develops individualized care plans, ensures accurate documentation, collaborates closely with care partners and families, and advocates for both clients and caregivers. Her role also includes client engagement and family education to help older adults live their best lives possible.<\/p>\n

With both personal and professional experience in dementia care, Jody brings a deep understanding of how dementia impacts individuals, families, and care teams. As a PAC\u00ae Certified Independent Consultant and PAC\u00ae Certified Champion Teacher, she is highly skilled in Positive Approach to Care\u00ae techniques, empowering others to provide thoughtful, person-centered support. Her dedication to dementia education and advocacy helps foster meaningful connections and compassionate care in every interaction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
