Aging in place and eco-living easily blend together to create a home environment that is perfect for seniors, with home care…
Touching Hearts at Home celebrates nurses every day, but in honor of Nurse’s Week, we are proud to announce and celebrate our finalists from our Nominate A Nurse program.
Congratulations to our 2021 Finalists and thank you for all of your dedication to patient care & safety. You are all out-of-this-world and we appreciate all that you do!
In addition, it is with great honor that we announce and recognize this year’s Grand Prize Winner, Kim Giberti, RN and Senior Director of Health Services at The Village of Gainesville.
Kim’s nomination letter stated:
Kim is so dedicated. This past year Kim has demonstrated a dedication to our community – residents AND associates that has been remarkable. From being on call 24/7 to address any resident and COVID questions or concerns, to personally leading and participating in COVID testing and vaccine clinics, to personally educating associates and addressing questions to ease fears….she did ALL of that while also just managing her day to day job. Kim’s personal approach, her calmness and ease in communicating during stressful times all demonstrated her dedication to our community. She never shy’s away from a challenge and is never afraid to step up and help where needed.
Kim is incredibly compassionate. When we had our first resident test positive for COVID (it was actually a false positive but we had to treat it as a positive) – it was a resident Kim had a relationship with and had cared for years at The Village. Kim knew that transitioning her to an isolation room was going to be very challenging (she was 103 and very HOH). Kim personally talked with the resident, family and staff to ensure this transition was as smooth as possible. Kim personally checked on this resident every day and visited with her personally daily to ensure she was doing ok and understood this was only temporary. Kim did ALL of this while leading our COVID response and operations early on in the pandemic – it was remarkable.
Kim not only demonstrates compassion and dedication to our community – she is incredibly service minded. Kim has helped to organize and participate in the Alzheimer’s Walk, she sits on the Advisory Board for the College of Nursing at SantaFe College and is actively involved in her Church’s Young Life program. She is also on the Gainesville High School Advisory Board. Kim dedicates herself to improving the lives of others, to helping to educate and support young adults and students and advocates for seniors experiencing dementia.
Our team at Touching Hearts at Home is especially thankful for all that Kim does on a daily basis to better the local community and to positively impact and provide outstanding care to those at The Village at Gainesville, which was voted #1 Living Community in the Gainesville Sun’s Best of the Best Awards.
Congratulations to Kim Giberti, RN with The Village at Gainesville for being our 2021 Nominate a Nurse Grade Prize Winner.
