Exceptional Touching Hearts at Home CareParter Tammy S. was on shift with our beloved client at a local nursing home community. What started as a normal day, turned into quite a miraculous day as Tammy and our client were returning to the client’s residence.
As Tammy was driving, she noticed some odd movement in the beautiful lake. Upon further review, Tammy immediately pulled over the car, left our client safe and in AC, and ran to the senior’s rescue who was drowning in the lake. The senior was over 6 ft tall and he was deep enough to where the water was above his shoulders. Tammy didn’t hesitate for even a second and ran into the lake, rescuing and bringing the man to safety. Immediately she got him safe and made sure that he was breathing as others in the neighborhood who witnessed the scene called for medical attention.
Thankfully the senior that Tammy saved from drowning was fine after being a bit shook up. Tammy was able to return to work safely with our client knowing that she actually saved a man’s life.
We couldn’t be any more proud of Tammy. When we found out about the incident, Tammy was very humble and didn’t want to accept too much praise because in her own words “I was just doing my job.” What we love about Tammy and all of our exceptional CarePartners is they CARE!!!
Thank you Tammy for ALWAYS going ABOVE AND BEYOND for our clients and others. You are a true blessing and we can’t imagine what would have happened God forbid if you were not there at that moment to save this man.
