About Us
Owners Keith & Terri Van Stavern
Touching Hearts at Home – McKinney is locally owned and operated, combining the personal and professional experience of owners Keith and Terri Van Stavern with the resources of a national home care company that has been providing non-medical companionship, caregiving, and homemaking services to seniors, adults with disabilities, and families battling illness since 1996. We specialize in caregiver support for individuals and families dealing with Alzheimer’s/Dementia, Parkinson’s, Diabetes and Adults with Autism. We offer extensive training and certification to our caregivers for these and many other diagnoses that they may encounter while providing care to our clients.
I’m Terri, a registered nurse. I am passionate about caring for seniors and have helped them live better lives for over 17 years. I hold a Bachelor of Science, Nutrition degree from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science, Nursing degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. I’m an active member and volunteer with the local Alzheimer’s Association and am a member of the North Texas Area Gerontological Society, Dallas Area Gerontological Society and numerous other professional organizations. Keith brings over 25 years of sales and management experience to Touching Hearts at Home and has had personal experience caring for his grandparents, his mother and a child living with ASD. Both of us have witnessed first-hand the incredible benefit that caregiving and companionship can provide to individuals and their families who are facing the progressive challenges that come with aging, illness or disability.
Keith and I are native Texans and have lived in the North Dallas area for over 12 years. We feel privileged to serve families in Collin and surrounding counties. We have a strong desire to do meaningful work in our community and enrich the lives of others. Together we have four children, two dogs and one cat. We are active members at Christ Fellowship Church in McKinney and enjoy volunteering with charity events throughout the community. Spending time with family, golfing, boating, camping, hunting, fishing and traveling brings us much enjoyment.
