Ways Companion Care at Home Helps Seniors to Avoid Falls
Fall prevention is a big part of what companion care at home does to help aging adults stay safe. They…
Middle Tennessee was hit with unprecedented weather this week! In the Home Care industry, providing the necessary care for the elderly does not stop for the weather.
While many of our Companion Care cases postponed services in efforts to help keep our Caregivers off the roads, our Hospice and 24/7 clients simply did not have that option. We had Caregivers that pulled 48-72 hour shifts to ensure that our clients were not left alone during this time. The dedication and compassion shown for these clients was truly remarkable.
There is no doubt that our Caregivers are heroes. However, a few unexpected heroes emerged this week. A group called the Topless in Tennessee Jeep Club gave rides to a few of our Caregivers to ensure they made it to the client’s homes safely. They also delivered groceries to a few clients that were in desperate need. Owner Haley Johnson said, “On behalf of Touching Hearts at Home, our Clients, and our Caregivers that were safely delivered to shift, I want to thank the Tennessee Jeep Club for their service this week. You proved that there are, in fact, angels among us. Your selfless actions left an impression on our hearts and we will be forever grateful!”
“Bryan and I would also like to thank our Caregivers for loving our clients so well and our Care Team for ensuring no hospice or 24/7 client went unattended while also making Caregiver safety a top priority. You are the best of the best.”
Heroes emerge in times of crisis. We are thankful to have been in the presence of several heroes this week!
