Ways Companion Care at Home Helps Seniors to Avoid Falls
Fall prevention is a big part of what companion care at home does to help aging adults stay safe. They…
May 13, 2019, Haley, Bryan, and Sandy took a chance on me by creating a position that I didn’t even interview for. I was new to an office job, I had a 9 month old, and life was somewhat hectic, but I felt it was a position I had prayed for. As He always does, God showed out, and this new position turned out to be so much more. I gained a family that I hope to forever be a part of.
Today, that 9 month old is now almost four, and he’s got an 18 month old little sister. With these two, I’ve made the bittersweet decision that my time needs to be spent more at home.
To my Touching Hearts team,
Thank you for always being there for me, for being the listening ear, for the many celebrations together, and for being family I look forward to seeing everyday. Thank you for working so hard every day and hustling together to always make sure the job is done. There’s no better team out there.
To Sandy,
Thank you for being my mentor, for pushing me and showing me how to be a manager. I couldn’t be the person I am today without you. From sharing a large office, through COVID, then being on opposite ends of the office, we made it through. Thank you for being my confidant, my support, my closest friend.
To Bryan and Haley,
Thank you for believing in me, some days more than I believed in myself. Thank you for taking care of me over the last three years and always working with me to make sure I was able to care for my children first. Your love is something I will cherish forever.
To our caregivers,
I have enjoyed our chats and visits over the last three years. It’s been a true joy to watch as caregivers be promoted, graduate college, get married, have children, go to nursing school, or get additional certifications. I have loved being a part of your journeys. Our Touching Hearts Caregivers are the best.
To our clients,
Thank you for trusting us to care for your family. I have been honored to speak with you all and learn about each client. I came into this business to be able to serve others, and I thank you for allowing us to serve you.
This isn’t goodbye. I will still be popping in here and there, so you may catch me one day. But for now, I will see you later.
Love, Kaitlyn DeFoe
