Ways Companion Care at Home Helps Seniors to Avoid Falls
Fall prevention is a big part of what companion care at home does to help aging adults stay safe. They…
When owners Bryan & Haley Johnson were considering starting a Home Care business, numerous people told them, “If you have good Caregivers, you will have a good business.” That really stuck out to them. The Touching Hearts team decided then that they would only hire Caregivers that they would trust taking care of their own family.
Six months ago, they put that to the test when Haley’s aunt was put on Hospice. Five Caregivers from Touching Hearts at Home provided care to “Aunt Delores” throughout the last six months of her life. They became part of the family and served her well in her last days. Cassie Pickett, one of Touching Hearts first hires, was by her side at the end.
Haley Johnson says, “I can’t tell you how much it meant to me knowing our Caregivers were able to provide care for Aunt Delores. Aunt Delores has always been there for our family and I considered it an honor to be able to provide Caregivers to assist her. I’d like to personally thank Caregivers Sherry Simmons, Mary Woodard, Cassie Pickett, Brooklynn Gaudette, Rachel Carpenter, and Cortney Tate for the exceptional care you provided Aunt Delores. You brought such comfort to our family and provided much needed support to the number one Caregiver in the family, Granny Bass. I am so proud to have you on our team.”
