Ways Companion Care at Home Helps Seniors to Avoid Falls
Fall prevention is a big part of what companion care at home does to help aging adults stay safe. They…
At Touching Hearts at Home, our goal is to prevent the negative Impacts of self-isolation and social distancing for Seniors by providing additional support during this unprecedented time. Our COVID-19 Speciality Program is designed to do just that!
The CDC reports that seniors and people who have severe underlying medical conditions are at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19. The safest place our seniors can be is at home (or wherever they call home – be it an assisted living community, a rehabilitation center, or hospice facility).
However, the repercussions of social isolation and quarantine as a result of COVID-19 can be very damaging causing depression, fear, immobility, and even mental illness. Now, more than ever, seniors in our community need in-home care to see them through these unprecedented times.
Our dedicated team of Caregivers are committed to keeping seniors safe. All Caregivers have received additional training in accordance with the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to ensure they are up to date on best practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Touching Hearts at Home provides compassionate care and has put preventative measures in place to ensure seniors’ safety by requiring all Caregivers wear personal protective equipment (facemask, gloves, etc.).
Caregivers assist with everything from bathing & grooming, incontinence care, fall prevention, and medication reminders to meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry to running errands, grocery shopping, and transporting clients to doctors appointments. Overnight and 24/7 care is also available.
In addition, while facilities remain on lockdown and many families are keeping a safe distance from their elderly loved ones, our Caregivers can help keep you connected. As essential staff, our Caregivers are allowed into facilities/homes. Therefore, they can visit and care for your loved one to provide additional support during this time. Examples included: delivering special meals and messages, taking photos, facetiming, and calling from inside the lockdown facility/home.
Regardless of your need, your family can count on us to provide the loving care you need at this unprecedented time! Call us today to inquire about our FREE consultation! We would love to share more about our COVID-19 Specialty Care Program. Call us today at 629-203-7925!
