In just five short months, <\/span>Lynne Fisher<\/b> has already made an incredible impact at Touching Hearts at Home. Her calm presence, listening ear, and heart for service have become a source of comfort to the clients she cares for \u2014 many of whom have come to rely on her not just for support, but for connection.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI have a heart for people,\u201d Lynne shares. \u201cCaregiving is my way of sharing kindness with vulnerable, older adults. I can help with their physical needs, but also be there emotionally. And in return, I receive so much just by hearing their unique stories.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHaving been raised Catholic, I know all the prayers,\u201d she says. \u201cIt\u2019s nostalgic \u2014 and special \u2014 to say them together.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes I\u2019m not sure if I should keep a conversation going or give a little room,\u201d she explains. \u201cSo I pay attention to their cues. If they need space, I\u2019ll tidy another room and come back to check in. It\u2019s about making sure they feel safe and not overwhelmed.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The Joy of Making a Difference<\/b><\/h3>\n

Lynne recalls a moment when a client thanked her profusely, saying she wouldn\u2019t have made it through a difficult day without her.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt meant so much,\u201d she reflects. \u201cThat\u2019s when I knew I had made a difference \u2014 just by being there.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
