David and Anita Settle, Owners
David and Anita Settle are the proud owners and operators of Touching Hearts at Home of Central Kansas and Touching Hearts at Home of Wichita, private duty in-home care agencies licensed by the state of Kansas.
David brings a diverse professional background to the business, including newspaper publishing, insurance and financial planning, and teaching vocal music at the university level. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Embry-Riddle University. Anita is also a trained musician with a Bachelor of Arts in Voice and Elementary Education from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. Her background includes teaching and office management.
After spending several years caring for David’s mother, David and Anita saw firsthand the critical need for quality private duty in-home care, especially in rural and underserved areas of central Kansas. In April 2018, they opened their first Touching Hearts at Home franchise office in McPherson. They chose Touching Hearts at Home because it is a family-owned franchise system whose values closely aligned with their own.
Committed to serving rural Kansas families, they have helped hundreds of clients and their loved ones over the years. In September 2025, they expanded by opening a second location in Wichita. Today, their agencies provide compassionate, personalized in-home care to private clients as well as Veterans through the VA Community of Care network.
David and Anita are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of families throughout central Kansas and the Wichita region by delivering trustworthy, heart-centered care in the comfort of home.
Lori Jones
Lori Jones joined Touching Hearts at Home in August 2024 and has found deep fulfillment in supporting the elderly in our Central Kansas community. In her multifaceted role, she contributes across Quality Assurance, PRN caregiving, marketing representation, office administration, scheduling assistance, emergency caregiver support, client assessments and onboarding, and new caregiver onboarding. Her hands-on dedication helps ensure high-quality, compassionate in-home care for every client we serve.
Taryn Koppa, Scheduler & Alternate Administrator
Taryn Koppa has worked with Touching Hearts at Home since April 2022, beginning as a caregiver and advancing to team lead before moving into an office role as scheduler and Alternate Administrator. She manages client and caregiver scheduling, recruits and trains new staff. Taryn also oversees onboarding and compliance. Her responsibilities include maintaining reports, assisting with client assessments and care plans, and supporting daily operations. Taryn also handles office management tasks, communicates regularly with caregivers. Taryn works hard to ensure client and staff needs are met.
