Launched in 2006, Touching Hearts at Home considers it a privilege to provide care with great integrity, always keeping dignity of life at the forefront of our work. We understand that we all age in different ways, with different needs, and at different times.
My father-in-law lived with us 3.5 years and we had 24 hour caregiving services for him. I used a few different firms to make sure we always had coverage. I can tell you the biggest difference in companies is the Customer Service they provide. Many of the caregivers work for multiple companies so when we started with Touching Hearts Jan and Debra really made the difference. I don’t mean to say the caregivers were not excellent but it was Jan and Debra that set their company apart from the rest. They responded to concerns, always kept me up to date, provided us with quality caregivers. They kept their shifts filled and helped me out when others could not. Jan is a very caring owner. She has bent over backwards to accommodate our needs, including last minute schedule changes. She stays in constant contact with the family and does everything she can to help us in any/every way. She has always pulled through for us during this time when we’re trying to comfort our mother who is in a very weak mental and physical state. The staff is also very caring and compassionate. They take care of our mom as if she was their own. We are blessed to have such loving caretakers, and we are comforted knowing our mom is in great hands when we are unable to be there.

When my very independent mother landed in the emergency room in April, our whole world changed. After a 6 week hospitalization and rehab stay, mom was finally ready to come home. My sister lived with me for 11 months before her passing and Touching Hearts was the only home health provider we ever needed. Linda presented with many challenges. She was wheelchair / bed bound which required use of a Hoyer lift for transfers and she could only toilet with a bedpan. Her aide’s were phenomenal not only with Linda’s care but in transporting her to her appointments (with Linda’s wheelchair accessible van) and in assuring her laundry and soiled bedding was promptly washed. Linda referred to her daytime aide as the daughter she never had as this particular young lady was exceptionally loving and caring. I pray I never have another family member in need of such intensive care, but if I do, Touching Hearts will be my first call.
