Christmas Party Held at New Office

Touching Hearts at Home of Central Kansas celebrated the year with a Christmas Party at their new office location 121 W Marlin, Suite 300, McPherson, KS. The party was held on Friday (Dec 13th) night and Saturday (Dec 14th) morning so all of the company’s caregivers would have an opportunity to attend. Touching Hearts at Home of Central Kansas operates 24 hours a day, and opened for business in April of 2018. Seven years ago, December of 2017, owners Anita and David Settle finished their initial training from the corporate office in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The company has grown since then, currently employing 50 caregivers and providing about 1,000 hours of care per week for their clients who reside in Central Kansas. This year they are recognizing four caregivers for perfect attendance for the past 12 months. They are Susan Kahn, Rayletta Ratzlaff, Shalee Enabnit, and Misty Harding-Zerkel. Caregivers of the Year are Kelsey Rookstool and Peter Settle.

Honored for the longest employment with the company is Rayletta Ratzlaff, who has been with the company for more than 6 years. A new award was inaugurated this year in remembrance of one the company’s caregivers, Amy Pike, who passed away after a short illness last spring. This honoree was selected for exhibiting the best qualities, for which Amy was known, in her work. Those qualities being: compassionate care, selflessness, kindness and respect, teamwork and collaboration, integrity and professionalism dedication, and a positive impact.
