Ways Companion Care at Home Helps Seniors to Avoid Falls

Born in Oregon but raised in Tennessee, I proudly call myself a Tennessean! As long as I can remember I have had a heart to help others and strive to put myself in the path of those who need support. Maybe it’s because so many have helped me and my family in our time of need. So in November of 2018, when my former boss of ten years, Haley Johnson, told me about an opportunity to further my mission by working at Touching Hearts at Home, I jumped on it!
My mom entered a nursing home at age 58 and passed away just before her 60th birthday, so I saw first-hand the need for quality, loving care for the elderly and disabled. Quite honestly, I didn’t know anything about home care at the time and wish I had. The end result may not have been any different, but I would have been happy to know she was at home where she was most comfortable. I am dedicated to educating people in my same situation so that they know what choices they have for their loved one.
I am abundantly grateful for the opportunity to work at Touching Hearts at Home and to serve the elderly and disabled alongside some of the most compassionate people I’ve ever met: Our Caregivers.
